Hello, my name is Claudia

I am the creative force behind the products on this website. Here’s a glimpse into my story:

Greetings from Berlin! Originally from Peru, I embrace being a global citizen. My family and I relocate every few years due to my husband’s job, enjoying diverse cultures while meeting wonderful people. These adventures inspired me to start my own business, a joyful outlet for my creativity.

From sculpture in Peru to painting and Hospitality studies in Argentina, and goldsmithing with Tagua seeds in Ecuador, my journey has been a tapestry of artistic exploration. In Australia, I ran a business crafting upcycled jewellery, and in Chile, I discovered the joy of cake decorating. Each move brought new skills and experiences, leading me to where I am today.

In Germany, amidst the pandemic, I delved into online learning of card making, monoprinting, and embroidery on felt. Adapting to change, learning and reinvention have been constants in my life. Thank you for being part of this creative journey. I’m thrilled to share my handmade pieces with you, each infused with love, passion, and the essence of my diverse adventures.

The little story behind my bookmarks…

A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to visit Ayacucho, a city in the Peruvian highlands.

Ayacucho is a hidden treasure that for many years was inaccessible. I fell in love with the resilience of its people and especially the smile with which they made me feel welcome, it is an almost indescribable feeling. Ayacucho smells of baked bread and muña tea (an aromatic and medicinal plant that grows in the South American Andes), it has clear skies and cactuses with prickly pears where hummingbirds look for honey. I am passionate about their embroidery because of its colourfulness and lots of texture that transmit joy and optimism, which is what I seek to make you feel with my bookmarks. The colourful designs in their handcrafts seem that instead of being painted, were embroidered. Ayacucho is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my beloved Perú.

Each bookmark is embroidered with care and dedication to detail, each one is unique and special. You will not find two that are exactly the same, since being handmade can vary a little on the tonality or the size of the stitches, although I always seek to maintain the same line of work of the chosen item on my list.

The names of the flower bookmarks are inspired by the names of some cities and small towns in Ayacucho. The names of the Llamas are inspired by funny names I heard over the years and in some ways are attached to fond memories.

All my pieces are made in Germany, with Peruvian hands and so much love and dedication.
